I currently support the management, sales team and field technicians by engineering and designing intrusion, access control, cctv and fire alarm systems. From the start, I help with designing concepts to estimating the job to the creation of final engineering documents. Along with this process, I manage the day to day tasks that are presented to the engineering department and help distribute the workflow. I communicate with vendors and the different teams in our company to help put the best products and effort forward.

I started by taking geometry and rough schematics from the engineering department and transferring them into production AutoCAD templates. While multitasking through this process, I’m in charge of maximal material usage, lowering overhead costs and estimating blueprints. After completing the AutoCAD templates, I transferred the files into Computer Aided Manufacturing fabrication documents. I imported these documents into one of our two five axis Computer Numerical Configuration machines. While programming granite, engineered stone and solid surface for both machines, I was also in charge of CNC and bridge saw scheduling, material quality management, tool calibrations and set ups. Answering day to day questions, helping out on the floor, reviewing receiving information and helping readjust the flow when needed were also daily objectives I faced. Individual efforts in our group environment turned wooden templates into quality countertops.

I was the Photo Editor, photographer and sports writer for the Ferris State Torch Paper. I’m responsible for the photos and corrections to them before they get placed in the paper. I work well with others while getting my work done and turned in on time while using Macintosh Operating Systems along with Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe InDesign.
