As a R&D Technologist, I was tasked with developing software solutions for any of the company's technical needs. During my time in this role I was the sole developer of 5 Android apps, whose purpose ranged from facilitating data recording/entry for field staff while in remote locations, to interfacing with our equipment management system to ensure equipment was properly maintained and available for each job.However, the highlight of my role was replacing an aging pilot display system used by our helicopter pilots while scanning Lidar. The system is an integral part of maintaining flight accuracy over the target corridors while scanning and was a major success. This project was built using the electron framework and continues to be used today.
