I am an experienced HR leader with a passion for creating innovative, sometimes scrappy HR solutions. Through a number of diverse, multi-discipline HR positions I have developed skills across several HR functions, including HR Ops, HRIT, HR Analytics, Benefits, Employee Engagement, and Program Management. I have been in the tech industry for over a decade and find the pace and passion of the work to be both challenging and exhilarating. I have loved the global reach of the tech industry, the spectacularly innovative products that come from it, and the extremely talented people who work in it. I'm also an MBA grad, where I spent my time trying to get closer to becoming "that HR guy, but the one who really understands the business". I've had many incredible managers in my career who supported me and helped me thrive and I earnestly seek to emulate them as I lead my own team. I'm also an actor, appearing in a number of community theater productions in the Bay Area including Mary Poppins, Company, She Loves Me, Big River, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Fiddler On the Roof. Acting gives me the creative outlet to both explore and process my own feelings and emotions as well as get into the mind of a character who may be completely different than me (although sometimes we're quite alike). The magic of acting is that you come away from a role understanding that character (and the real-life people like them) in a powerful, unforgettable way. It's a shortcut to empathy and compassion.
