About Benjamin Orthlieb

With over 18 years of work experience in strategy, management, consulting, and finance, I am a corporate development and strategy leader with a passion for enterprise technology and innovation. Currently, I lead the Corporate Development & Strategy team at LinkedIn, where I collaborate with the executive team and line of business leaders to develop strategies and lead the M&A process, from sourcing to deal negotiation and execution to post-merger integration. I also co-founded and serve as a general partner at 2.12 Angels, a venture capital firm that invests in seed-stage startups in the enterprise tech and fintech spaces. 2.12 Angels uses AI to screen Founding teams and win deals by offering support services to Founders. We also host a series of webinars on the Future of Venture with leading VCs and LPs. Previously, I worked as a venture scout for Emergence Capital, a principal at The Boston Consulting Group, and a manager and analyst at Barclays Capital and BNP Paribas. I have a MBA from The Wharton School, a CFA charter, and a MS from Télécom SudParis / Institut Polytechnique de Paris
