Asia / Belgium

• Responsible for sales / customer service and marketing communications• Sales grew from 672M€ to 1.158M€ (mainly due to fast growing Digital Cinema market and sales improvement programs) • Sales improvement programs: o “Barco Connect” partner program. (sales and service partners) o Global introduction of CRM: Streamlining of sales and service processes, systems and offerings across all regions and divisions. o Close cooperation between Regions and Divisions for Global/key accounts. o Sales training programs for value selling. o Customer service as a profit centre.• Global sales team of > 300 people and Customer service organization of > 250 people.

Japan / Hongkong

• Responsible for sales and customer service• Sales grew from 125 M€ to 222 M€ o Mainly due to the Chinese market where we have build a network of partners for the different markets we are active in. Was made possible by bringing together the best team of local Chinese executives to execute this strategy• Director of all Barco entities in the region. o Primarily supporting the Divisions in running their R&D and manufacturing operations in Asia (China / India / Taiwan and Japan)o Direct management of a team of country managers responsible for the sales offices in the region.

Japan

• Consolidation of the Barco businesses into one Barco Japan organization. • Identifying and assessing M&A targets.

Singapore

Responsible to start the the business in Asia. Started the Singapore office, offices in Korea, Bangalore, Malaysia and used presence of Barco group in other countries. After a few years the business represented >20% of Global sales.
