Lead Design Engineer

Lead for the BX-3 payload to be launched aboard the New Shepard sub-orbital rocket in 2022 through the Blue Origin NanoLab program. The 2U-sized 500 gram payload studies the enhanced material properties of resin-fiber composites when manufactured in microgravity. The data collection of these micro-tensile specimens will contribute to future deep space manufacturing.

Assisted the automation efforts for two large telescopes in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I worked with a small team to begin a retrofit for the Angell Hall Observatory that will have full capability of remote telescope observations from any location without requiring anyone to be on site.I also worked with a team of faculty to retrofit new camera technology onto the historic telescope at the Detroit Observatory while being as evasive to the original telescope design and operations as possible.
