Worked within the Store Operations department to provide visibility, analysis, insight, and drive the overall profitability of the company. I did this primarily in 3 ways:~ Answering the cardinal FP&A questions of What - is happening by clear, concise, and timely reportingWho - are the hotspots of best/worst performance or practicesWhy - are changes in trends happening? Root cause analysis!How - process improvement and problem solvingWhat Will Happen If - Modeling and future projections, which starts the circle back at What again.~ Acting as an integral partner with all of the various departments within the company, including Finance, Accounting, HR, IT, Legal, Store Development, Marketing, and Merchandising. I acted as a representative for the driving force of the business - the Stores - to prevent back end decisions from adversely impacting front end practices. Additionally, I acted as a bird-dog for those departments to ensure that Store Ops didn't make changes that would impact their departments without looping them into the decision. Lastly, I acted as a universal translator between departments to make sure that they could communicate issues and ideas with each other in language they could understand.~ Finally, I acted as a good steward for the company - always with an eye out to identifying and correcting issues, or to develop and implement new concepts to further enhance efficiency or drive profitability.
