-Ensure the saftey of the S64 rotorcraft with respect to structural and drive system changes-Ensure all modifications and repairs comply fully with the Federal Avation Regulations-Interface directly with the FAA-Investigate failures of critical parts and determine corrective actions-Utilize classic hand structural analysis techniques as well as FEM analysis-Modify part design to increase life

-Plan and manage S64 rotorcraft modification/certification projects-Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget-Lead teams of fellow employees in support of the project end goal-Write certification plans, compliance checklists, test plans, test results & structural analyses-Oversee testing efforts-Projects include; creation of improved tail rotor driveshaft coupling, creation of aircraft preservation procedures, creation and testing of a repair procedure for cracks in rotor blades, testing of tail gearboxes, strain gauge testing of aircraft during extreme flight maneuvers

-Rotorcraft Drive Systems & Transmissions-Parts 27 & 29-Design, Major Repairs & Alterations, Repair Specs (RS), Service Documents

-Led a group of engineers in developing unique repairs for worn, corroded, and otherwise damaged rotorcraft and fixed wing parts-Emphasis on rotor hubs, transmissions, and control systems-Took an active part in PMA certification activities-Developed proprietary repair schemes that involved processes such as machining, grinding, plating, fabrication of parts, flame spray, shot peen, etc.-Determined pricing and turn time for repairs and communicated directly with the customer as required-Coordinated OEM approvals of repairs on Airbus Helicopter components by meeting with their teams in France and Germany.
