Configuration management (CM) specialists are responsible for developing software; those in this position may also be known as "software engineers" or "computer programmers." These specialists work primarily in the technology field and the majority of their workday is spent in an office or other indoor environment.CM specialists generally work traditional business hours, though some may work extended hours.
