About Brandon Pennington

After graduating from Transylvania University, the siren song of the Appalachian mountains called me back to my beautiful mountain hometown of Harlan, KY. I’ve been fortunate to not only help tell the story of Harlan County through my role as Executive Director of Tourism for the City of Harlan but I’ve had the unique opportunity to add new chapters to Harlan’s story through tourism development, infrastructure, marketing, promotion, event and festivals, community development, programming, civic work, volunteer work, and much more. Outside of my role in Harlan Tourism, I’m the CEO of a custom jewelry company called Coalfield & Co and well as a marketing consulting company called Coalfield & Creative.
