As an Applications/Database Analyst II, I research, design, develop, recommend, and implement technologies related to all database infrastructures. I ensure that business processes involving SQL Server databases and Oracle databases within their domains are highly available. For SQL databases, I continue to use SSMS to maintain all the database servers and provide any support needed to the development team. For Oracle databases, I use TOAD to do anything from creating database links to schema views and creating and/or granting user permissions. I ensure all backup and recovery functions for both SQL and Oracle databases are performed in a timely manner. I provide support for any performance related issues and/or any issue that arise concerning databases.
