Brett is a mechanical engineer with experience in the Perth metro commercial construction and WA mining industries. This experience extends across both greenfields and brownfields projects, from concept through to commissioning, including shutdowns, in a variety of sectors including stadia, hospitals, public transport, commercial redevelopments, gold process plants & non-process infrastructure.- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, project managers, designers, fabricators, installation & operations teams to successfully deliver design, fabrication and construction projects;- Critical thinker with the ability to identify problems, collect and analyse data on root causes and then develop and implement solutions in cost-effective ways;- Adaptable in order to work as a team leader or member, versatile in being able to operate within corporate, workshop or site based areas and resourceful in being able to utilise a vast array of tools to find answers and present solutions;- MS Office, MS Project, MS Teams, AutoCAD, Solidworks & Microstation;- Piping design, calculations and pumping selection;- Storage tank design to API 650;- CAD drafting of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), mobile crane lift studies, overhead gantry public protection systems and small structural steel items;- Knowledge of construction codes and standards relating to structural design actions, steel & concrete structures, welding, hazardous and dangerous goods, pressure piping, oil storage tanks, cranes, amusement rides;- On-site inspections of structures to provide risk-based structural integrity assessments and remediation plans;- Labour work on sites as required, such as site measurement, structural steel erection and mobile crane operation.- Estimating & budget tracking for structural steel and pre-cast concrete panel installations, tailings pumps upgrades, crushing equipment replacement, leaching circuit upgrades, non-process infrastructure;- Schedule development & tracking for construction projects and critical plant shutdown works;
