Application of established software design principles, methods, and approaches ensure deliverables meet VA guidelines and security requirements to operate as a viable application for end users.• Design, development, prototyping and deployment of the web-based automation tool DCIM Asset Tracker. This web-based tool allows for enhanced datacenter inventory collection and reporting from on-site points of contact for all EUS sites identified under OMB. Data collected is verified to be accurate and shared with other VA enterprise databases to present a holistic view of all VA datacenter assets that are reportable and used to make informed decisions by VA management in the areas of space management power and cooling initiatives. • Design, development and modernization of project tools such as SharePoint web interfaces, dashboards and real time automation of end user inputs. Using the new VA enterprise SharePoint interface has led to increased data accuracy and accountability for all DCIM end users by analyzing current web-based applications, evaluation of legacy systems and providing comprehensive recommendations for replacement of primary inventory tools.
