I serve as the subject matter expert for the policy division of the Property and Asset Management Department. I work on all aspects of disability policy as well coordinate various aspects of construction planning with departments throughout the organization including the Development Department as well outside consultants. I manage the Reasonable accommodation review program for the low income public housing program to insure that all paperwork is reviewed and decisions are made in a timely manner. I coordinate transfers with various departments as well as oversee all requests for structural modifications in units such as carpet removals.

Managed Americans with Disabilities Act compliance for the association.I reviewed all documents such as registration forms to insure that it contains inclusive language. I reviewed and made recommendations to develop policies that promote inclusion of people with disabilities.I developed all inclusion plans for members needing reasonable modification to participate in programming .I developed trainings for staff in the areas of inclusion and ADA compliance.

Greater Chicago Area

Assisted staff and tenants in all aspects of compliance of section 504 and ADA and UFAS. I was also involved in construction oversight and project management related to a voluntary compliance agreement, including unit selection, oversight of contractors and submittal of required paperwork to HUD.

Ensured that all city programs, facilities and policies are compliant with Federal and state accessibility requirements.I was also the advocate for all persons with disabilities who live, work, or visit the city.
