Box Office Manager
CurrentHires, schedules, trains and directs work of staff and evaluates performance; recommends and monitors box office policies and procedures; maintains inventory and orders office supplies; responds to written and verbal inquiries; resolves customer complaints and problems regarding ticket sales and seating; ensures compliance with system controls and cash handling procedures; verifies ticket consignments to event promoters; monitors sales of tickets to individuals with disabilities; may determine number of ticket sellers and takers needed for each eveDesigns tickets to include date, place, time, price, seating; updates system to reflect event sales and promoter requirements; recommends seating allocations and numbers of tickets needed for each event; prepares ticket printing orders; reconciles sales to ensure proper accounting of money and tickets; prepares daily ticket sales, box office, and post-event settlement reports, statements maintain and update computerized database file on season ticket holders.Trains staff in customer relations, check/credit card acceptance, security, and cash-handling procedures; maintains cash levels for tills; issues tickets to cashiers; opens and closes box office; ensures security of box office, money, tickets, and staff; updates electronic marquee and telephone recording to reflect current ticket and event information; resolves customer complaints and problems regarding ticket sales and seating; responds to written and verbal inquiries from customers, promoters, and outlet representatives regarding ticket prices, upcoming events, seating, and policies and procedures.
