November 1990 - November 2001 Owner of Kavanagh’s Newsagent; 1990-1994 Opened and managed a newsagent store in Stoneybatter, 400 sq ft employing a staff of 2 persons.Moved to new premises in Stoneybatter – 600 sq ft.Developed this store to include grocery and deli.As a direct result, year on year turnover increased from 450,000 pounds to 700,000 in 1995.Turnover subsequently increased 14.5% per annum, staff increased  to 4 full time and 4 part time persons. 1999-2000; Increased capacity of shop to 1000 sq ft.Turnover at year end was 1.2million.
