In May 2013, I graduated from Harry S Truman College with an Associate Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Before changing careers to nursing, I had a rich theatre career that provided me with a breadth of skills for nursing from problem solving and memorization to empathy. I am intrigued in nursing philosophy and methodology that focuses on best practice. My core values center on compassion and equality. I believe they can guide me for patient-centered care. I’m also interested in strengthening my career through evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and persistence toward delivering exceptional clinical outcomes. As my enclosed resume indicates, I pursued excellence in my nursing studies as demonstrated by my academic honors. My clinical experience and volunteer work have effectively prepared me to begin employment as a nurse. I dedicated myself to a strong understanding of content and I plan on continuing my learning through further advanced degrees.
