TLAC Online (www.tlaconline.com) is based on Doug Lemov’s international best-seller, Teach Like a Champion 2.0. Created in collaboration with Doug and his team, TLAC Online is a website where teachers can practice some of the TLAC techniques in 15-20 minute modules by watching exemplar videos and then filming themselves executing the moves. They are then able to share their video with a coach or colleague for further review. -

Partnering with the Relay Graduate School of Education, we worked to align our instructional model with Relay's teacher and leader training to support in-district autonomous turnaround schools in San Antonio.I also supported Relay's leadership training efforts in Indianapolis, Indiana, providing in-school support and city-wide trainings for participants of Relay's NPAF/NPSA programs. -

As part of that role, I also oversaw our teacher residency program and the broader teacher development of our network, as well as the data and assessment team.During my time managing schools at AUSL, we grew from 5 schools to 29, and from 45 resident-teachers a year to 175. Our elementary school student achievement results doubled those of the district, and we had 85% retention of our resident-teacher graduates. -
PrincipalChicago Academy High School 2003 - 2007Greater Chicago AreaI was the founding principal for AUSL's third school, a new-school start in the Portage Park area of Chicago. Located in the old Wright Junior College building, we were AUSL's first high school and had the dual mission of teaching children from the area while also developing the first high school teacher residency program. 100% of our students had college acceptances to 2 or 4 year colleges, and we became one of the highest performing non-select high schools in the city. -
