I graduated from Butte High School in 2003, and I received my bachelor's from the University of Montana Western in 2014. My degree is in Integrated Biology, which is a fancy way of saying 'we don't offer a degree in microbiology'. After college, I worked for 4 years at a Montana-owned company called BioScience Laboratories, the same company that I interned for my senior year. I worked as a Laboratory Technician, and eventually as a study coordinator, earning my certification for that position in the process. Unfortunately, the small company had to close its lab in Butte, and I was laid off along with the other dozen employees that I worked with. I then was lucky enough to find employment with the federal government, and I started a job working for the U.S. Army as a Medical Technician. I worked for 4 years at the Butte Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), earning several honors and accolades during that time.It was during my time working for the military that I rediscovered a passion from high school, writing. I had always enjoyed writing, finding creative and entertaining ways to express myself through the written word. I even spent several years in college as an English major (see the 11 year gap between high school and college graduation [I changed my major 4 times. My parents weren't frustrated at all.])I began working on my first novel while working at the MEPS, finishing the majority of it in the extra sitting-around-at-home time we all forcefully discovered during the COVID-19 outbreak. With my novel finished, I decided to pursue writing as a career.I have spent my time since working on finalizing my book and starting up a blog, writing as much as I can, both in an attempt to create recognition for myself, and also for the sheer joy of it.
