Ft. Hood

Supervise, inspect and perform aviation unit, intermediate, and depot maintenance on the AH-64D armament, electrical and avionics systems, to include the electrical, electronic, and mechanical and pneudraulics systems. Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in the AH-64A/D, M-TADS/PNVS (Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sights, Pilot Night Vision Sensor) sighting system. Repair, replace and perform operational and preventive checks and alignments on aircraft flight controls, stabilization systems, avionics and controlled cryptographic equipment. Troubleshoot equipment-wiring harnesses using technical manuals and schematic drawings to diagnosis and isolate faults and make repairs. Launch and recover aircraft on FARP and flight line operations and maintenance. Supervise and provide technical guidance to subordinate soldiers performing AH-64 armament, electrical instrument or fire control system maintenance. Utilize technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, other test equipment systems, and advanced knowledge of electronic and electrical wiring to diagnose, remove, replace, and repair faulty system wiring and assemblies. Ensure entries to maintenance and inspections records are logged accurately. Utilize micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and electric/electronic measuring instruments, as well hydraulic, pneumatic, and digital tools, and equipment in performance of daily operations.
