• Led project to consolidate older mid-tier storage arrays. Migrated 3 EMC CLARiiON CX3 storage arrays to 1 EMC VNX7500 storage array. Migration decreased data center footprint by 2.5 racks, decreased power and cooling requirements, increased overall usable capacity and increased performance by utilizing SSD drives and array based software features for data movement.• Migrated disaster recovery data center from Springfield, MO to Lewisville, TX. Migration involved moving servers, storage arrays and storage area network. Provisioned new systems/storage and configured storage replication to meet defined RPO/RTO’s.• Implemented virtual desktop infrastructure to support offshore development efforts. VMware View 5 was implemented for onshore and offshore use by in house and contract developers.• Upgraded Active Directory Domain Services from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 R2• Upgraded Office Communications Server 2007 R2 to Lync Server 2010 for IM/Presence workloads. Implemented highly available solution along with Edge role to support external user access.• Upgraded VMware vSphere 4 to vSphere 5. Environment consisted of multiple vCenter Servers and 150+ ESXi hosts.• Designed, implemented and administered all mid-tier and enterprise storage subsystems along with storage area networks.

• Managed VMware virtual environment. Upgraded VMware ESX 2.5 to 3.0. Later upgraded ESX 3.0 to ESXi 4.0 including disaster recovery plan and strategy.• Managed EMC CLARiiON CX series mid-tier storage arrays along with storage replication technologies. Migrated storage from multiple CX500 series arrays to CX3 series arrays (CX3-20, CX3-80’s).• Implemented and managed EMC Symmetrix VMAX enterprise storage arrays. Led storage migration of all production storage from CLARiiONs to VMAX utilizing migration software such as VMware storage vMotion and EMC PowerPath Migration Enabler.• Managed Cisco MDS storage area network. Upgraded SAN to Cisco MDS Director class switches.• Designed, implemented and administered Exchange Server 2003, 2007 and 2010. Upgraded Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. Later upgraded Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010. Deployed highly available virtualized environment utilizing multi data center DAG. Environment supported 32,000+ mailboxes.• Implemented multiple Windows Server 2003 clusters and Windows Server 2008 R2 failover clusters. Clustered applications include, Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010, SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2 and file clusters• Managed Dell PowerEdge, HP Proliant and IBM x series rack mount servers. Also helped migration from rack mount servers to Dell PowerEdge M series blade chassis modular systems.• Helped migrate Corporate data center when company headquarters relocated buildings.
