In my work, I am able to combine my passions, teaching, supporting kids with ADHD and other learning differences, and science communication.I support learners and their families on the Outschool online learning platform. I use my creativity and life experience to design curriculum that supports students in the area of executive function, note taking, and supported literacy activities that are high interest and low reading level. My goal is to help my students learn something, have fun, and gain practical tools and strategies to make learning and life easier.In my work as an instructor for Nevada Technical Associates, I am proud to mentor future radiation safety officers by providing supporting students development in learning both the science and the practice of radiation safety. I specialize in helping new radiation safety officers with limited background in the field gain a deeper understanding of the scientific principles of health physics as well as gaining confidence and understanding of the practical and regulatory compliance aspects of their new position. I also teach courses on the transportation of radioactive materials for NTA.In my e-learning business and consulting business, I strive to provide our clients with affordable training solutions in order to maintain a safe work environment and comply with government regulations. I believe that my product has value in this challenging economy since it allows companies to avoid travel and train multiple employees using an online interactive e-learning solutions. I also supported my clients in the area of license development and program review.My freelance writing has been published in Boys Life Magazine as well in local publications. I am also a co-author of the section on the transportation of radioactive materials in the textbook Basic Radiation Protection Technology. I also have published a guidebook to LEGOLAND California. I maintained the family travel blog Family Adventure Guidebooks for several years.
