My Reflected Best Self, based on feedback from family, friends, and respected colleagues:I am my best self when I can collect a brevity of diverse information about people, processes, and systems. I do not like being in silos where information is hoarded, and best practices are not shared. I like to be in the middle of all the action, so I know everything that is going on. At 84.51 for example, I want to know what all the data is, where it comes from, where it goes, how it is being consumed, and who is consuming it. I prefer to relay and digest information in a clear and concise way to mitigate misinterpretation and eliminate unnecessary noise. When I am at my best self, I leverage the information I’ve collected to find patterns and efficiencies for improvement across people, processes, and systems. I am great at organizing chaos, seeing breakdowns in process, and reducing redundancy. I love solving problems and doing things smarter. I genuinely enjoy rolling with the punches and adapting to the situation. Bring it on; there is nothing I can’t grit through. This attitude allows me to remain calm under pressure and rationalize through hairy situations when others can’t.I am my best self when I can focus on the strategic, long term vision and integrate my plan with the big picture or other roadmaps. I work well on a centralized team that supports a variety of areas and interacts with a lot of different players. I am a team player and collaborator. I appreciate the diversity of thought and thought leadership others have to offer because it’s new and different information, and it takes some of the mental load off me. In turn, I get energy from sharing my knowledge and expertise by finding teachable moments with friends, family, and colleagues. During these teachable moments, I am at my best when I am vulnerable or discussing a subject, I am very passionate about. Being vulnerable allows me to relate and builds trust with other people. I inspire and excite people with my passion. I am most passionate about topics or events that force me to leverage my best self via the strengths described above.

Lead and manage 84.51° Enterprise Data Movement (EDM) team responsible for ingesting almost 600 unique data feeds from approximately 30 vendors, as well as moving internally and externally generated data across the ecosystem. This team enables our Science, Data Science, and Engineering communities to work and collaborate across our onprem and multi-cloud hybrid ecosystem without the overhead of owning and supporting their own pipelines.Redefined EDM work streams and ways of working by identifying patterns across requests and bucketing work into epics that aligned with Enterprise strategy. Subsequently, the number of active tickets decreased, administrative tasks were simplified or eliminated, and the value of EDM was made clear to leadership and stakeholders.Standardized EDM work intake process by creating templates in Jira and implementing deadlines. In effect expectations are clear and requirements are more complete, streamlining work and mitigating frustration from developers. As a result, the dev team delivers more value in less time increasing our sprint velocity. Act as bi-directional liaison between business units and development team by understanding business needs and eliciting requirements to translate back to the EDM team in stories or epics, and work with the dev team when issues arise that require information or input from a business group or external vendor. Doing so ensures all parties are aligned, information is not missed and is passed between functions without confusion caused by technical jargon.Define and drive EDM strategic vision by listening to customers, seeking architectural guidance, and obtaining feedback from leadership. By road mapping and sharing out intentions with stakeholders and technical partners we can best serve our customers and support a gamut of enterprise initiatives while maintaining the right priority and delivering the most value in a timely manner.

Work within an Agile framework to elicit input and feedback from product owners (POs) on a sprint-to-sprint basis to set the scope of acceptance criteria and negotiate changes in plan. By doing so, POs and dev team are aligned on expectations; the dev team is not overwhelmed, and the POs are not surprised. As a result, the impacts of potentials risks are reduced, and a highly effective working relationship is formed between business units.Utilize tools such as, Alteryx, SQL Server Stored Procedures, and batch files, to build and automate data manipulation processes to create and maintain complex datasets. Blending all of the necessary data into one finite table allowed for expedited data mining in pursuance of actionable insight to guide strategic corporate initiatives and ideate opportunities for revenue.Implement data integrity and performance test processes for the Customer Experience Platform against existing data sources and standards as datasets become available in production. This ensures the data and reports the BI team is accountable for are representative of the most accurate and available data Kroger houses.Designed and developed scalable Business Intelligence Reports and Dashboards in IBM Cognos to supply metrics to POs on daily basis, so they can track progress of loyalty and marketing campaigns. This enabled POs to be self-serving and make data driven decisions on the fly to pivot campaigns towards success.Carried out post-promotional analysis of loyalty and marketing campaigns to determine uplift in customer trips, spend, and units, as well as overall impact at store, district, division, and enterprise levels across test versus control customer groups and time periods. Consequently, the Customer Experience team is able to determine if a campaign is successful, derive key learnings to make future campaigns more successful, and evaluate whether a campaign is worth implementing again.
