I advocate for all things Extension Service in Washington County and in Oregon.

Virginia Bruce and I work together as the CPO 1 Steering Committee to set agendas of interest to a broad cross-section of community members. Items of local civic interest, not just land use, are promoted.

I rent out two small cottages in Bonny Slope, Oregon, and host Airbnb guests occasionally.

Studying and promoting Washington County, Oregon food systems while advocating for policy changes to focus on community resilience.

In this position, I owned all aspects of books except the actual writing. I created the proposals, reviewed the outlines, flogged the authors to write, edited, designed the physical book and promoted it.

I started at Intel as a SW Tech, having graduated from PCC with an associates degree in Computer SW Technology in 1979. I went up the ranks from Tech to mid-level engineer. I owned the start up firmware for Intel Multibus systems for 4 years, moved on to project leader of the iRMX OS through 5 releases. After a short stint in compiler technology, I became Tech Marketing for performance optimizing tools: VTune.

In the draft during the USA war in Vietnam, I was awarded a Conscientious Objector status.I performed my alternative service to military service/the draft working as a co-manager at Portland's first inner-city food coop: Friends N Food.I was amazed at how good healthy food brought people together, and still does.
