Previously a Senior Surgical Specialist with Glaukos. Position eliminated 1/2019. Working with Clinical Research to provide on-site surgical training and support for study surgeons on the implantation and use of investigational product (MIGS). Conducted didactic, dry lab, wet lab, and in human training for study surgeons. Assess surgical competencies. Prior to joining Glaukos, I worked for Abbott Medical Optics as a Premium Practice Specialist for 8 years. The duties required selling Premium Multi-focal and Toric IOL's. Most of my time was spent in the OR in surgery. Abbott purchased AMO in 2010 where I had the same position. My territory was the state of Florida. In 2000 I was hired at CIBA Vision, a division of Novartis, as the Director of US Surgical Marketing responsible for Marketing of Ophthalmic Medical Devices, including IOL's. CIBA sold the division in 2004. In 1995 Allergan acquired Optical Micro Systems (manufacturer of Phacoemulsification Equipment) where I was a Phaco Specialist for the Southeast USA. Previously, I was a commissioned independent Ophthalmic Representative selling capital equipment and IOL's. The wealth of my experience has been in surgery teaching/selling phacoemulsification, selling IOL's and training MIGS (glaucoma devices).
