I started enjoying software development when I was introduced to C++ during my Mechatronics Technician course. A few years later, I got in touch with Java when I held a scholarship to pursue a nanodegree in Android Development on Udacity. As a recent graduate in Bachelor of Computer Science in IT, I have acquired outstanding problem solving, troubleshooting and coding skills by helping my peers in college over the years. My eager in helping people was also the key to choose my final year project which is a wearable medical device that adjusts to the wrist and generates small vibrations in a range of intensities controlled from an Android application. Those vibrations will help to reduce the presence of the hand-tremor on Parkinson’s disease patients. The device is also capable of monitoring the effects of the vibrations through a real-time graph displayed on the app.
