Current• Organizational lead for tariff schedules, trade agreements, and product classification• Provide technical assistance to U.S. dairy exporters• Maintain and update the U.S. Dairy Export Council's proprietary Export Guide by researching, identifying, and incorporating dairy related regulations, standards, and foreign duty rates (i.e. tariffs and quota volumes)• Act as the Market Access and Regulatory Affairs department's point person for exports to Europe (both EU and non-EU nations), the Middle East, North Africa, as well as additional Asian and African countries• Act as the Market Access and Regulatory Affairs department's primary support person for exports to various countries and any other nations not explicitly assigned to another member of the department• Maintain and update the U.S. Dairy Export Council's tariff classification guide to bridge the gap between common dairy terms and HS nomenclature• Provide U.S. Dairy Export Council members with support by acting as their point of contact for regulatory, standard, or any other export related questions • Assist U.S. Dairy Export Council members when their products are detained by foreign Customs to have their products be cleared and released• Work in cooperation with international and external sources (such as USDA, IDFA, NMPF, IDF, CODEX, academia, and foreign governments) to obtain technical information• Collect, analyze, and comment on World Trade Organization notifications regarding draft national regulations• Collaborate and support the U.S. Dairy Export Council's Trade Policy department's efforts regarding U.S. trade agreements and the U.S. Trade Representative's work to deal with foreign trade violations• Interface with the U.S. Dairy Export Council's Communications department to assist in the creation of industry and member communication pieces, such as the Dairy E-Brief and Member Alerts• Perform other duties as required to assist U.S. Dairy Export Council staff and members
