Working with Itron has provided me with the invaluable experience of working with utilities throughout the country in various capacities. I started out working as a developer for itron focusing on their mobile deployment application, which tracked meter deployments. From there I became lead developer on a project, which tracked deployment inventories, schedules, supplies, shipments, etc. This application allowed us to manage the project from a logistical prospective while tracking installer metrics as well. We were able to provide a quality of service to our customers, which we weren’t before. From there I moved to working in AMI/SMI projects. I worked as a senior consultant working on many of Itron’s Openway AMI/SMI (advanced Metering Infrastructure) projects throughout the country. I later transitioned into a testing role, helping to validate product from an engineering standpoint before we roll it out to our customer based. This was my first assignment with which I manage a team of individuals. My next assignment moved me into Senior Architect/Junior project management role. Working with customers as they looked into this type of technology and help drive infrastructure design in parallel I worked on other large projects managing the technology and teams.I enjoyed my assignments with Itron and was very happy to leverage my strengths, which are merging my technical background with my joy of working with people.
