About Bryan Snow

The ShortAn experienced Product Leader with strong business acumen and technical knowledge, able to drive high-level strategic initiatives. Proven success in leading product innovation, feature ideation, delivery, and launch in an agile environment. Skilled in collaborating with designers, engineers, architects, and stakeholders to execute successful product offerings. My StoryMy father was a project manager back in the days when waterfall project management ruled, and product management was about documents hundreds of pages long. I would go to his office in Salt Lake City for a hamburger from time to time and see Gantt charts taped to the wall, a dozen feet long and higher than I was tall. Software development looked amazing and so complicated. After a stint creating web pages for an internet startup during the dot-com bubble—and witnessing its burst—I pivoted to academia, gaining a fresh perspective in clinical psychology. Yet, my passion for IT drew me back.I have led many teams building innovative mobile and web applications that measurably move the needle. I have worked through the challenges and successes of tech start-ups and have loved my time in not-for-profit academia. I have had great success as a consultant to direct-marketing companies and have managed product teams for companies large and small.I feel lucky to do what I do. I love working with teams of cross-functional equals, pursuing a common goal. A shared vision, a well-vetted product strategy, and an opportunity to learn from users, iterate, and showcase a job well done have led to great morale, great products, and happy customers. The groundwork for today’s software product development, so different from my father’s era, was laid before I began my career. Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber introduced Scrum in their 1995 paper presented at the annual conference, OOPSLA. In February 2001, seventeen software developers met at Snowbird, Utah, and developed the Agile Manifesto. Other methodologies built on those foundational principles.Aligning a company with market demands often requires changes that are challenging but worth it. I’m passionate about making meaningful contributions each day, not simply to enhance an organization’s bottom line but also to positively impact every individual with whom I interact. As we push forward into 2024, my focus is on empowering organizations and individuals to reach their full potential, strategically aligning product visions with market demands to deliver exceptional outcomes.
