Positions: Manufacturing Engineer/Programmer: Design and Implement programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).Further Details: Worked on various engineering teams to design and implement control systems for manufacturing equipment. Control of equipment was performed with PLC controllers and HMI panels. This involved controlling and interpreting I/O signals from various field devices.Duties: - Create and maintain Software Detailed Design documents prior to project programming. - Organize and direct software design meetings with engineers, maintenance, area supervisors, and operators. - Implement PLC programming once software design is complete. - Coordinate programming efforts with other programmers. - Provide support and maintenance for existing systems.

Positions: Software and Hardware Tester: Perform individual unit tests and regression tests on real-time image processing software for the Navy and Air Force. Some application development.Further Details: Was part of and worked with a software development team on development of real-time image processing software for the Navy and Air Force called “Vantage” that screens and processes tactical imagery in support of sensors.Duties (USU Space Dynamics Lab): - Attended team meetings and worked with team supervisors, developers, and other testers to ensure product was sound. - Suggested fixes and enhancements to the software. - Compiled various revisions and distributions of the product software using Subversion and Visual Studios 2005.- The product software was tested on both Windows XP, Solaris 9, and Solaris 10 platforms.- Performed unit tests on specific areas of the software designated by a task in the Alexsys Team task software, in which defects were fixed or enhancements were made. The appropriate version/revision of the product software was executed and certain test procedure steps were followed to determine if the defect was fixed or the enhancement performed properly according to documented desired behavior. - Weekly regression tests were performed to ensure defect fixes and enhancements did not introduce new or further defects/errors. Complete functionality of the software was tested according to documented features and test procedures. Along with regression testing, random testing was performed to attempt to find defects in the software. I as a software tester tried many various ways to crash the software or cause the software to behave in an undesired manner.- Performed individual tests on Hardware that interfaced with our software as needed. Testing procedures similar to those of the software unit tests were followed.- As needed, also performed various GUI development according to assigned individual Work Requests using Visual Studios.
