This involved metadata editing, meeting with prominent Jewish community members to identify persons and events from historical images, researching the history of Kentucky Jewish life, facilitating digital and oral history recordings at the Camp Shalom 50th Anniversary Celebration, and coordinating and assisting with a video and audio-recorded Lexington Downtown Walking Tour highlighting historical Jewish Kentucky.Aug 2017-May 2018: I assisted the then Department Chair of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation (EPE) and a professor from the department of Jewish Studies to bring to fruition the 2018 Kentucky Jewish History Symposium, an event celebrating and encapsulating a 5-year research project funded by the Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellency (JHFE) focused oral histories of Jewish Kentuckians. As the coordinator for this event, I assisted in website development, designed promotional materials, and wrote a guest post on the blog “Southern Jewish Life.” I also designed and produced posters based on oral history interviews and oversaw day-of logistics for the 2-day event.
