The postgraduate course (lato sensu) in Radiation Protection and Safety of Radioactive Sources was designed to meet the needs of professionals in the formation and acquisition of a solid foundation in radiation protection and the safety of radioactive sources. The course also aims to provide the necessary tools for those who will become instructors in the respective field.The course design is structured to provide both theoretical and practical training in the multidisciplinary foundations, whether scientific and/or technical, of the international recommendations and standards on radiation protection and their implementations. The course syllabus takes into account the requirements of the "International Basic Safety Standards for Protection against Ionizing Radiation and for the Safety of Radiation Sources (BSS)," IAEA Safety Series No. 115 (1996), and the safety recommendations outlined in the Safety Guides.

The position involves typical radioprotection tasks: Surface contamination tests, equipment quality controls, management and monitoring of radioactive waste, monitoring of workers' extremities, exposure measurements of patients undergoing iodine therapy and radiometric tests.

I started at Atento do Brasil as a teleoperator and was promoted to the following positions: Back Office I, Back Office II, Recording Analyst, Planning Assistant and finally Planning Analyst.
