• Oversee EMEA, APAC, Canada (17 countries ) payroll pre- and post-processing to ensure accurate, and timely payroll process completion in compliance with all international regulations and any applicable national requirements• Ensure standardization of payroll operations during payroll implementations and transitions in the regions (or across regions); acts as process expert in various payroll initiatives• Develop, mentor and supervise day-to-day work of payroll staff, including providing direction for tasks, coordinating priorities and resources, and providing guidance on performance and development opportunities• Review current procedures and partner with key business partners to recommend and implement process improvements and establish best-practices• Identify and resolve employee payroll issues• Develop and maintain documentation of key payroll related processes• Ensure compliance with all internal policies and controls as well as compliance with external laws and regulatory guidance, including SOX• Oversee the delivery of Global Mobility payroll services, including working with internal partners (HR, Corporate tax, finance, legal, stock program), and external services providers• Partner closely with external services providers for set-up and delivery of payroll and benefits for our globally mobile employees, including split and shadow payrolls• Manage payroll audits, year-end planning & reporting. Payroll reporting including applicable: home or shadow payrolls, year-end payroll reporting, facilitating payment for employment taxes, trailing liability (equity) payments, maintenance of payroll records for globally mobile employees
