Played a principal role in developing innovative technologies for Call Experts, which were instrumental in the successful launch of subsidiary Abridged Tech. Led the development of a hybrid cloud and on-premises REST API infrastructure serving thousands of monthly users. Select optimal feature sets for machine learning models with various feature selection algorithms. Train machine learning models to improve malicious network traffic detection. Compose a framework for automating the selection of interchangeable machine learning algorithms, feature sets, feature selection algorithms, and data sets for easy implementation of machine learning intrusion detection systems (IDS).Highlights:• Conduct research on creating IDS features by considering multiple packet attributes over varying lengths of time. Investigate the usefulness of time window optimization on different attacks.• Act as principal developer an extensible network IDS framework. Design this framework to contain interchangeable components for ease of selection, as well as simple addition of new machine learning algorithms, feature selection algorithms, data sets, etc., allowing focus on one of these components at a time for researchers or businesses.• Prepare machine learning and feature selection algorithms to be run in parallel on Google Cloud to reduce running time.• Work to coordinate personal research and software projects with the overall research goals of the lab, including system state prediction, IOT taxonomy, and models of correct operation of IOT.

Assist Dr. Bowring in the development of Squid 3.0, a Java desktop application reimplementation of Squid 2.5, a popular geochronology software for the processing of raw mass spectrometer XML data, previously implemented in Microsoft Excel 2003 Visual Basic.Highlights:• Build a Java/JavaFX desktop application using software engineering principles.• Collaborate with team using GitHub for version control.• Create and alter existing data structures in code to improve program functionality.• Unit test code additions using JUnit testing framework.

Manage a wide variety of tasks to effectively operate a vacation rental business in downtown Charleston, SC. Create a new website to improve customer and employee experience.
