I am a second year student studying electrical engineering at the University of California Irvine. My interests point towards applications in computer engineering, specifically in hardware design and hardware-software interfaces. I am most interested in AI silicon, ASIC design of GPUs, and graphics computing utilizing parallel programming. This growing industry will provide me with countless opportunities to contribute to a field that genuinely interests me. My most exciting opportunity thus far has been working in CORSA Lab at UCI. I am granted the opportunity to work independently with the mentorship of a PhD student also in the lab. I am currently working on improvements of various LLMs (i.e. Meta’s codellama 2) using RAG technologies so the LLMs can better optimize complex CUDA code. My personal favorite aspect of the project was working through understanding CUDA optimizations and how the optimizations mapped to the NVIDIA GPU hardware, and working backwards to convert the optimized examples to less optimized versions for the code comparisonsI’m excited to dive more into the hardware applications of AI and to continue advancing a technology that I see as being as fundamental as the steam engine in the coming years.Outside my academic pursuits you might see me catching waves at one of the countless awesome beaches in Orange county or San Diego, or practicing my guitar in Aldrich Park.

UmpireEncinitas Little League Mar 2018 - Jun 2023Encinitas, California, United StatesI umpired for little league baseball games at my little league in Encinitas. This type of work was particularly rewarding as I got to give back to the youth of my city just as others did for me when I grew up playing baseball here. My responsibilities were more involved with keeping the kids focused and entertained than the actual umpiring.

Mathematics TutorSelf-Employed Aug 2022 - May 2023Encinitas, California, United StatesI spent time during my senior year of high school tutoring one student in particular. He’s a good friend of mine and he simply struggles with math. The math course was math 3, with topics including polynomial functions and trigonometry. This was a volunteer position and involved numerous in depth explanations and practice problems to strengthen understanding.
