As the United Kingdom’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, my role involved positioning the UK as a leader in artistic creativity, innovation and the creative economy through the implementation of a variety of projects, which raised the profile of these industries. In addition I acted as Project Manager and Artistic Director of The Luan Art Gallery & Abbey Road Artists Studios in Athlone. I established Music Generation Westmeath Offaly, commissioned several large scale public art pieces and Westmeath was the first Local Authority in the country to develop a Child Protection Policy under my guidance.
