IMMA is Ireland’s National Cultural Institution for Modern and Contemporary Art. Now in its 30th year, the institution aims to connect audiences and art, providing an extraordinary space in Ireland where contemporary life and contemporary art connect, challenge and inspire one another. My role at IMMA involved delivering a variety of development initiatives and securing funding for the enhancement and management of a national programme in partnership with key stakeholders. By working across departments, I scoped and developed new programmes creating new funding opportunities, ensuring long term financial sustainability through corporates, trusts, government and philanthropic donors.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The goal of Expo 2020 was to place the UAE at the centre of the international stage during its Golden Jubilee, engaging the global community and creating an immediate and meaningful cultural, social and economic impact. My role was to develop an accessible and all encompassing exhibition and visitor experience programme that universally inspires and is appealing to all age ranges, cultures and demographics. Working closely with the Chief of Exhibitions and Pavilions, I devised a strategy to bring our themes to life across a variety of genres and disciplines, delivering upon Expo's commitment to "Connect Minds and Create the Future" in the physical and digital realm, particularly in a post-Covid reality.

As the United Kingdom’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities, my role involved positioning the UK as a leader in artistic creativity, innovation and the creative economy through the implementation of a variety of projects, which raised the profile of these industries. This centred around building strategic partnerships with leading cultural organisations and educational institutions, as well as artists and practitioners in the arts and creative economy in the UAE and internationally. Over a three year period through a varied arts programme, I built strong and sustainable relationships and partnerships with key Emirati and governmental organisations by collaboratively developing and curating a number of exciting new projects in the visual arts, theatre, dance, music, film, fashion design and interdisciplinary creativity by forging connections between the growing artistic creative industries in the UK and UAE.

Muscat, Oman

As Director of a new purpose built visual arts facility and art foundation in Muscat my responsibilities included, Strategic policy development and implementation for a variety of educational and outreach programmes and artistic events . I also acted as the Curator of Stal Gallery and Studio Exhibition Spaces and managed the institutional collection in addition to International Sponsorship management for rolling international residencies along with financial control and human resources management.

Westmeath, Ireland

My Role as Arts Officer was to manage the entire County wide Arts Sector and be the Primary source of support for the Professional, Community and Public Arts Sector. My key responsibilities included Project Management, programming and planning for the sustainable strategic development of the arts in the County. In addition I acted as Project Manager and Artistic Director of The Luan Art Gallery & Abbey Road Artists Studios in Athlone. I established Music Generation Westmeath Offaly, commissioned several large scale public art pieces and Westmeath was the first Local Authority in the country to develop a Child Protection Policy under my guidance.
