By designing impact bonds, investments, and micro-insurance, we aim to support blue carbon initiatives, nature-based solutions, small-scale fisheries, and coral reef restoration. I am committed to ensuring a just transition for communities with valuable ecosystems by helping them secure land and resource rights while developing entrepreneurial strategies that build new economic models and community wealth. My journey began with a fascination for marine ecosystems, evolving into a mission to empower businesses and communities to adopt sustainable practices. As the founder of The Sustainable Tourist, I supported environmental businesses in enhancing their sustainability branding and operations. My work included developing educational programs, sustainable tourism policies, and conducting marine surveys.At Eco Dahab, I was instrumental in building the organization's business model, building diverse income streams, and developing strategies that significantly increased local and international engagement. I facilitated partnerships with other organizations and coordinated the implementation of community-based conservation projects.Earlier in my career, I worked with Kataw Foundation and Coral Triangle Conservancy, where I gained hands-on experience in coral restoration and marine conservation, piloting coral restoration technologies, coordinating seagrass survey mapping, and supporting nature-based projects within marine protected areas.
