This includes editing for clarity and pacing, optimizing audio and video for online distribution, and creating captioned shorts for social. I also provide insights and strategies on how to improve and grow the show, to reach a wider audience and increase engagement.

LibDib brought me on to help refresh their brand identity. After working closely with the team to define their aesthetic and create a new style guide, I then stayed on for a year to create new content and bring their existing assets up to speed. I also crafted animated videos with original VO and music to help show off the new features in their platform.

The Upwork Ambassador program provides support to freelancers through an ongoing series of live and virtual events. As one of the first four Upwork Ambassadors in the US, I over saw our largest and most populated area to date: Los Angeles. I planned and managed events with guest experts, taught educational courses, and presented national webinars to thousands of users. As a lifelong freelancer, my goal was to help other profressionals learn new skills and build a more connected community. The happy hours were, of course, very popular.

As a freelance writer, I contributed over 25 original articles to VinePair. My writing took new looks at pieces of drinking culture, ranging from the basics of vermouth to the fabled history of Charles Shaw. I also figured out the drinks-of-choice for your favorite cereal mascots, so there’s that. You’ll also find a few recipes here and there, and I helped out with an giant online index of drinking terms and vocabulary.

Ghost writing for love. Or at least for online dating profiles. One client emailed me months later to let me know that thanks to her new profile, she’d finally met her swashbuckler. Still one of my favorite endorsements.

Worked with the marketing team to create greater cohesion in brand identity for both TopLine and its flagship app, DailyMVP. This included updates to logos, websites, business cards, and other online and print collateral, as well as consultation on video advertisements.

LRP creates new works of theatre in unusual spaces throughout Chicago. As a founding member, I collaborated on a number of original plays as a writer, producer, actor, composer, videographer, and art director, graphic designer, and marketing strategist.

As part of the photography team, I handled the processing and preparation of new images from hundreds of worldwide properties across several brands, as well as managing logo and brand ID guidelines. In my first year I streamlined our digital photo preparation process, doubling weekly output and saving the company an estimated $40,000. Later, I became both the writer and designer for an ongoing e-mail campaign that reached over 250,000 people each month.

I created concepts, mockups, revisions and finalized print files for a variety of printed materials and branded products for Bay Area tech companies. We worked with a ton of big names to help set up everything from trade shows to web shops to online retail. Clients included Adobe, Google, Electronic Arts, eBay, and Cisco.

I helped to set up and manage IDzyne's brick-and-mortar storefront which provided on-site on-demand clothing printed with custom artwork and typography. I ran our printing and press system, contributed artwork to the catalog, and sourced other independent artists to be featured in our catalog.

I worked closely with the Artistic Director to design and roll out an entirely new visual identity for the Palo Alto Children's Theatre, including a new logo and revision of their website. Each season I created original artwork and illustrations for all of the main stage productions, and developed printed and digital assets to market the shows, events, and classes. This included posters, postcards, e-blasts, web art, brochures, and banners.I managed and updated our Civica-based webpage, Constant Contact email campaigns, and events calendar.My responsibilities grew to include the Friend of the Palo Alto Children's Theatre, as well as the city's Twilight Concert Series, both with an entire set of needs for print and digital artwork, and website and e-blast management.

After coming on as graphic designer, over time I took on a number of other responsibilities. I served as a playwriting class instructor for high school students, production manager for college-level summer shows, writer and director of interactive productions for young children, summer camp instructor and lead writer for collaborative original play, and advisor on Teen Arts Council.

As an MFA student, I taught courses in Screenwriting to undergraduate students. Along with my teaching partners, I worked to design a unique curriculum, guide weekly lectures, viewings, and workshops, as well as hold office hours with students to work with them individually on their screenplays.

Working directly with the publisher, I built and designed the original layout for this B2B publication. Once we developed a template, style guide and workflow, I designed and laid out all content for every issue during the first 2.5 years of publication. My day-to-day responsibilities included page layout, photo processing, editing and proofing copy, writing website content, print quality assessment and adjustment, style guide creation, media kit creation, and working with advertisers to ensure printed ads met all specifications.

As a founding member and Co Artistic Director, I worked with CBTP to produce five original full-length productions, as well as many other readings, classes, special events. We performed at WORKS/San Jose, SubZERO festival in downtown San Jose, Kaleid Art Gallery, and Montalo Arts Center in Saratoga.

After college I applied for a short term work visa to the UK, and moved to London to gain experience living and working abroad. At Limehouse Design Associates I created CAD floorpans, handled day-to-day office correspondence and paperwork, assisted with audit materials, updated website content, and helped with the maintenance and planning for held properties.

I worked on a large variety of branded materials for Bay Area tech companies. Notable projects include the layout of a winning multi-page proposal for Adobe MAX, and extensive work helping to launch the on-site branded product shop at the eBay campus in Campbell, as well as the related website.

While a student at SCU, and for a short time after graduation, I worked as the sole graphic designer for the Center of Performing Arts, taking over the workload of three previous student designers. I eventually was hired as well by the Department of Music and the Department of Theatre and Dance.I created posters, brochures, postcards, digital advertisements, and program covers for the overall seasons and the individual productions in each department. I worked closely with each show's director to capture and convey the vision for the pieces, and created artwork in a variety of mediums based on the particular aesthetic. This included photography, vector illustrations, paintings, and hand-drawn artwork in pencil, ink, crayon and pastel.
