Working in aviation, I managed the receipt, maintenance cycle, and return to the flight line of all aviation depot level repair items for the Norfolk, VA Navy flight line. Constantly worked with aviation maintenance leadership to improve information transfer and align work priorities. • Managed 20 sailors and 7 civilians in three divisions in support of 49 maintenance work centers and 19 aviation squadrons while overseeing the receipt and acceptance of 8,200 repair items valued at $112M. • Solved 180 repair item inventory discrepancies for deployed and local squadrons, leading to a $5M cost avoidance.Served as the Legal Liaison to a command of over 300 sailors, dispersed across several geographical locations. Successfully resolved 50 legal cases while serving as a direct advisor to the Commanding Officer and an available resource to the sailors at the command needing legal advice and information. Led the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for the regional ship maintenance center's Production Division in support of 39 maintenance shops and 34 surface warships. Continuously improving the relationship and communication between the Production Planning division and Supply and Logistics division within the maintenance facility to increase the efficiency and accuracy of requisitions. Briefed the Production Control Officer daily, offering the most updated supply status, roadblocks, and requirements.• Led a team of 13 sailors through the daily ordering, expediting, receipt, and issue of all requisitions in support of the Production Division ensuring the successful completion of 8,400 requisitions including hazardous material and maintenance material. • Ran an expediting initiative that decreased the size of the outstanding requisition list by 40%, greatly increasing the accuracy of supply and maintenance status. • Continuously worked with the contracting department to award 98 high priority time sensitive contracts for services and materials valued at $1.9M ensuring they were awarded in line with the maintenance schedules for deploying ships.
