Responsible for leading a team that executed marketing campaigns and promotions from concept to launch. During my time in this position, I also spearheaded a website redesign and created most of the written content. Major marketing in this role channels included: television, radio, print, internal branch lobby graphics, digital channels, social media, billboard, website, direct mail, and e-mail. Writing, proofreading, and editing are also a large portion of my job.

As a marketing specialist, I was originally hired for the continued development of a consumer discount program that was unique to Financial Plus in its charter area. My chief responsibilities included developing and implementing new marketing approaches for the product internally and externally. I created a branch champion program with the goal of creating a product specialist in each branch location. We saw the program, which was originally decreasing in membership, make a turnaround and hit record enrollment numbers by the time I was promoted to the marketing manager position. During the time in which I held this position, I also began seeking ways that I could grow professionally outside of my core job responsibilities. Financial Plus delved into social media, and I became the person primarily responsible for the content creation and growth of Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. It should be noted that, although I was the primary, several others on the marketing team were instrumental in getting our social media plan off the ground and growing. I was also able to utilize my written communication skills and produced copy, wrote press releases, and became the primary proofreader for much of the credit union's marketing materials and letters. I also took on the role of interim public relations specialist during a period where that position was vacant. This was in addition to my other job responsibilities.
