With over 20years of construction and development experience, I began my career in 2002 as a Field Engineer for Granite Construction Company after interning with them throughout my time studying Civil Engineering at NC State. Upon graduation, I was hired by Granite as an engineer on their $200M I-85 and US-70 Interchange project in Durham, NC. Appeasing my desire to move back to my hometown of Asheville, NC I joined Beverly-Grant in December of 2004. I've since completed over 200 construction projects ranging from residential and renovation construction to high volume commercial developments. My current role as Vice President and part owner at Beverly-Grant involves management oversight of the project management staff and pre-construction activities along with operations oversight of company operations and financials.I place great emphasis on improving and giving back to my industry and local community. I currently serve as the Building Division Chair for the Carolinas AGC Board of Directors, Chair of the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Central United Methodist Church, and am a board member with All Souls Counseling Center. The father of three, I enjoy serving on the South Buncombe Youth Basketball Board and coaching my children's basketball teams.
