Although I studied improv comedy with Second City and jazz at the University of North Texas, my brain has been hardwired for improvisation since I was a child. The mantra throughout my career has been, "I'll do it. I'll go. Send me. I'll figure it out." It is easy to say no to something because you don't feel confident, but none of us are 100% prepared for every situation in business, let alone life. Mick Napier once said, "Improvisation is the art of being completely OK with not knowing what the efff you are doing." I merge business, technology, creativity, improvisation, and story telling. I tore apart broken electronics as a kid and fixed them. I learned trumpet at age 9 and piano at age 15. I’ve been in dozens of musical theater productions. I first performed stand-up comedy as a high school freshman and continued for 15 years. I spent years in advanced improv classes with The Second City and performed in comedy troupes on the Las Vegas Strip. While studying music composition in college I was fascinated with multimedia. I taught myself graphic design, animation, UX/UI, web dev, and digital filmmaking. This brought me to casino game development where all those disciplines merged. The natural next step was coding and DevOps. I taught myself Linux, Javascript, Actionscript, C#, and Swift. As a Product Manager, while under a hiring freeze, I created a game asset (video/images) production engine using the Javascript engine within Photoshop and After Effects which replaced the need for 20+ new game production techs. This was while also maintaining client relations, release schedules, and performing presales functions. From there I moved to solutions consulting, CX, and presales. Then to SaaS product management. In my eclectic two decade technology career there’s been one common element. Thanks to my experience on stage I am constantly asked to work directly with clients, give the presentation, or represent the company at the trade shows. Boardrooms are more forgiving than a comedy club full of hecklers. My background in technology, entertainment, and improvisation has merged in the last decade, pushing my career to business development, presales, and CX. I've advised, consulted, and demonstrated to hundreds of casinos and corporations across the world.

Systems Engineer / Solutions Consultant / PresalesScientific Games Mar 2010 - Feb 2018Las Vegas, Nevada AreaI was a founding member of the Global Client Solutions team which focused on presales, sales enablement and solutions consulting worldwide. My goal was to use my improv knowledge to improve teamwork, communication, sales, and customer satisfaction.I focused on the complete product cycle of Bally/SG iView Display Manager with EBS (Electronic Bonusing Systems), a key revenue generator for the company - with more than 338K hardware unit deployments and generating an annual revenue of $91 Million+ annually. This product is considered one of the most innovating products in Casino Systems industry and won several awards. This product interfaced with all major gaming SaaS products that run a casino, which required I have an incredible amount of working knowledge on all of them. The product cycle began with me wearing my "pre-sales solutions consultant" hat. I presented the product in the initial pre-sales phase using my own custom built interactive live product demo. I returned post sales to conduct marketing/design assessments during the on-site operational reviews to gather technical and design requirements. With decades of UI/UX experience, I would often design the customer content interface myself or provide a draft for their artists to complete. Once I obtained design/marketing approval from client, I put on my "front-end developer" hat and created their custom content packages. I redesigned the iView Display Manager content to their corporate brand, configured the content to their systems, coordinated with our QA lab to test content, and ensured the product adhered to all compliance rules for release. Switching back on my "solutions consulting" hat, I acted as sole iView content representative during live user acceptance and deployment onsite. At the end of the sales cycle I visited clients and provided best practices while gathering vital feedback for product improvement, sales enablement, and customer experience. -
Product/Program Manager / Game ProducerGlobal Gaming Group (G3) 2005 - 2009Las Vegas, Nevada, United StatesI thrived at G3's start up environment and pushed my abilities to the limit. What started as an animation and graphics job moved into game production, game release, then evolved towards client management and product management. I helped build our first game platform. I developed and maintained the requirements and production methods to automate our game release process using Javascript and batch scripting to manipulate the Adobe products into tools of mass production. This eliminated the need to hire dozens more employees. I had the pleasure of traveling to South Africa to salvage a key contract\relationship and compile game production requirements which saved that relationship with the one client most crucial to G3's survival. I represented G3 at trade shows and was sent to present our portfolio to potential partners. I handled the production and release of hundreds of casino game titles to iGaming customers around the world.

Solutions Consultant / PresalesKinko'S 2002 - 2003Northern CaliforniaI was the corporate sales technology consultant for Kinko's Northern California region supporting their B2B print on demand enterprise solution. This was an early example of cloud/SaaS technology. The region covered California north of Santa Barbara plus Reno. One of our sales managers would call me down to their area to meet with clients. I presented the product, assessed needs of corporate clients, developed the deployment plan, and executed deployment of web-based print on demand system to large client like HP, Granite Construction, USAF, and Kaiser Permanente. It was a wonderful job. Unfortunately for me, Kinko's laid off all the regional sales management teams in preparation for the buyout by FedEx. -
Technology Evangelist / Program ManagementBeatware, Inc 2000 - 2002Redwood City, CaI was originally hired as a multimedia designer. Shortly after, our VP of Marketing started to borrow me for trade shows and other marketing events due to my eagerness to do client and customer facing work. Soon I replaced our Technology Evangelist who had found work elsewhere. Beatware had a Enterprise Solution based on a LAMP stack that allowed businesses to manage and customize all their website images on the fly. This was quite revolutionary for 2001. Additionally, Beatware maintained a library of retail software packages for Mac and Windows sold at retail stores across North America and Europe.I represented Beatware at tradeshows, user groups, universities and other relevant organizations to promote Beatware products and technology. Served as channel sales manager; I maintained relationships with retail buyers and salespeople. I played a critical role in inking key retail contracts with major retail stores by presenting our product at RetailVision by myself which secured our first contracts with major retail stores. I was involved in our complete software product development cycle from concept, design, testing, launch and retail sales. -
Multimedia ProducerThe Selling Source 1998 - 2000Las Vegas, Nevada, United StatesBack when Selling Source was just a husband and wife working out of their home, they hired me as a Multimedia/Web designer. I handled the streaming video for one of their video tape sales sites. I developed sits for clients with web storefront creation using ShopSite shopping carts. This was back when online shopping was very new. The Selling Source was my first experience working directly with clients to assess their technical and marketing needs.
