I led The Nature Conservancy's earned media work in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Greater Chicago Area

I led The Nature Conservancy's earned media work for the organization's Illinois chapter, Great Lakes Project, Great Rivers Partnership and Upper Mississippi River program.

San Antonio, Texas Area

I worked as a staff reporter for more than 3 years covering the environment, City Hall, history and archaeology, parks and recreation, police and general assignments.

Odessa/Midland, Texas Area

I covered municipal and county government.

Dallas

I covered the transportation beat and wrote a weekly column about driving in the Dallas area called the Road Warrior. I was hired initially as an editorial assistant, promoted to researcher/reporter and then to the transportation reporter/columnist role. I worked a little more than three months in total before the Dallas Times Herald closed down.
