As Lean Coordinator, I analyze current processes and determine a plan or solution to make the department more efficient by using “6-S” principles. Employ and use a value stream map to help with ideas for process and flow improvement. Gather employee input to help with the improvement process. Find ways to eliminate waste of material and movement from the employee for optimum efficiency. Generate drafts for tooling boards and employ in Auto Cad. Develop efficient work flows for incoming and outgoing material to improve production time. Weld & Fabricate tooling boards. Perform at least 2 Kaizen events per month. As Cycle Counter, I count parts daily to ensure inventory accuracy. Export data from SAP to MicroSoft Excel to manage inventory and determine what areas to focus on for improvement. Create charts using Excel pivot tables and report results for each month and YTD to staff. Perform physical inventory on different areas each month to maintain 98% accuracy. Develop ways to improve the process of cycle counting through my knowledge of the lean principles.

Responsible for processing order reviews prior to an order being sent to production. Designed parts and tools for production to be produced using Auto-cad and Sigma Nest. Responsible for creating custom part numbers for new parts purchased and working directly with the plant buyer-planner to coordinate future purchases. Responsible for routings for production, such as assigning machines, machine time, and a work center for purchase orders. Assisted with tooling production by designing and manufacturing tooling from scratch, writing CNC programs, and developing process improvements to improve overall production efficiency and product quality. Oversaw inventory management for all tooling and indirect supplies for the plant, which included working directly with vendors, submitting purchase orders, performing weekly checks to maintain a 98% accuracy in inventory transactions, and creating and managing transaction and cost analysis reports.

Responsible for maintaining production control and logging production orders as they are received. Worked closely with inside sales and design engineering to resolve issues. Routed production orders to appropriate work centers and gave standard hours based on application. Controlled bill of materials for shop use and ensured correct entry of customer specifications for customer satisfaction. Participated in some APICS training. Responsible for office supply orders through Staples. Use of BUS/SAP, Power Man, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Machined metal drums, aligned cutting tools and accessories; operated lathes, mills, grinders, CNCs, HAAS mill, band saw, and Lucas line bore machine. Experience in training of coworkers.
