Production / Operations Manager with over 27 years of experience at CEM Corporation. CEM is an approximately 110 million dollar manufacturer of laboratory instrumentation. The processes I am responsible for include receiving, inventory and warehouse, shipping, assembly, kitting, commodities production, unit test, and production scheduling. I am also a key contributor in procurement, quality, and new product development, and have served as the cost accountant as well. During my years at CEM I have led manufacturing through a revenue growth of over $70 million, have redesigned the production and warehouse areas multiple times, and have helped multiple people grow their careers both here and beyond. I have also spearheaded multiple major project implementations such as a pull signal procurement system, database driven production scheduling and measuring, updated production module in the operating system, and a redesign of the physical inventory count process. For the past five years the major projects I have managed from the operations perspective were first the transition of technology and inventory from a German instrumentation manufacturer to CEM in Matthews, NC, and the implementation of Dynamics 365 to replace our very dated operating system. Prior to CEM I served 9 years as an avionics technician in the United States Marine Corps before entering the civilian work force as a technician for Picker International.
