Duties and responsibilities:• ISSO for Interior Department, Bureau of Reclamation Corporate, Denver, and Washington DC A&A Boundaries• Developed, updated and maintained the System Security Plan (SSP) for assigned systems• Conducted Contingency, Recovery, Incident Response Plan/tests for assigned IT systems.• Participated in Incident Response activities for assigned IT systems.• Advised system owners on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of assigned IT systems.• Developed standard operating procedures in accordance with security control requirements.• Performed continuous monitoring of security controls to ensure correct implementation, intended operation, and desired outcome with respect for meeting the cyber security requirements for assigned IT systems.• Worked with technical teams to mitigate security control deficiencies for assigned IT systems using Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) process • Assessed the cyber security impact of purposed changes to assigned IT systems.• Managed the POA&M process for designated IT systems.• Completed required A&A activities on assigned IT systems.• Assisted federal staff in providing expertise and training to Reclamation ISSOs.• Assisted federal staff in assessing new applications, identifying applicable NIST SP 800-37 RMF requirements and advising system owners of the process.
