Welcome assigned patients and inquire as to their well being since their last treatment. Report any complaints or observations to nurse supervisor.Evaluate vascular access for patency and report any unusual findings to nurse supervisor.Obtain necessary pre and post treatment vital signs and weight. Report unusual findings to nurse supervisor.Insert needles through phlebotomy, draw labs, and initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders including blood flow and dialysate.Evaluate dialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order as directed.Monitor patients response to dialysis therapy and report any unusual findings to nurse supervisor.Discontinue dialysis treatment according to established procedures.Obtain all prescribed laboratory testing and prepare specimens for collection.Maintain environmental integrity and aesthetics - ensure all areas are safe and clean.Clean and disinfect dialysis machine surface, chair, equipment, and surrounding area between treatments according to facility policy.Enters all treatment data into the designated clinical application accurately and in a timely manner.

Transport patients in accordance with established safety policies. Assist Radiology Technologist/Nursing staff in transferring and positioning patients from a bed or chair onto a transport strecther/wheelchair and Radiology table maintaining safety restraints, and direct patient observation on various shifts within a 24 hour period. Obtain patient consents for Radiology based procedures.Assist with the delivery to established nursing unit per levels for stretchers, wheelchairs, beds and E cylinder oxygen tanks.Utilize proper body mechanics training in all patient transport activities.Transport medications, as necessary during the usual course of transporting patients within the institution, in keeping with policy and procedure regarding medication security. Ensures that medication is delivered to persons authorized to handle medication according to hospital policy.

Maintain Pre-Operation, Post-Operation, and occasionally Operation Rooms, by washing furnishings with approved disinfectant, arranging furniture and accessories per established standards. Empties, cleans and relines waste receptacles following universal precautions, empty soiled linen hampers and dispose of correctly.Dusts, sweeps and mops, Pre-Operation, Post-Operation, and occasionally Operation Rooms, according to departmental standards and report all stains. Checks and replenishes all disposable supplies daily as needed in all assigned areas.Cleans and maintains all equipment in Pre-Operation, Post-Operation, and occasionally Operation Rooms in a proper working order, reporting to supervisor any repairs needed.
