My company started as a sole proprietorship (formally as DBA Hurley Enterprises) in April 20, 2002 and was later incorporated as Hurley Marketing, LLC on November 21, 2011. As the company President, I oversee our primary business activities in Sales and Services. Including e-commerce, Sales, Management and Marketing Services, Information Technology, Shipping and Logistics by way of UPS, FedEx and USPS. In addition to my other duties, I also manage and order our company inventory and supplies as well as unload box and freight trucks and oversee internal company security and loss prevention. I have many years of sales and customer service experience, office experience, maintaining business and sales operations, and managing shipping, etc.. In addition to my other duties and responsibilities, I also ordered inventory and supplies as well as unloaded box trucks and freight trucks. As Project Manager, I also managed and operated our Hurley & Sons Auto Detail Center, which was very successful. We offered auto detailing from simple wash jobs to full detailing, including waxing and touch up painting, etc. We served many automotive customers and did excellent work! I have many years of sales and customer service experience, maintaining business and sales operations. In addition to my regular sales duties and responsibilities, I also ordered inventory and supplies and unloaded box trucks as well as any freight trucks. My employment with FedEx was a seasonal casual associate during the holiday seasons for unloading, sorting, scanning, loading and express delivery services. When I started with FedEx, I already knew a lot about shipping and logistics from managing a Goin' Postal Store and running my own company. This seasonal position allows me to casually be included on the schedule, as time permits, during the holiday season. FedEx has been great to work with as this position does not take time away from my other work commitments, schedules and responsibilities. As a business-minded person, I never forget the importance of quality customer service and professionalism.

As Store Manager, my responsibilities were retail shipping with UPS, FedEx and USPS, maintaining business and shipping accounts, price point setting, marketing concepts, ordering materials, printing/copying jobs, promoting sales, offering highly professional and friendly customer service, etc. In addition to my other duties, I also ordered inventory and supplies and unloaded box and freight trucks as well as overseeing security and loss prevention. As a business manager, I never forget the importance of excellent customer service and superb customer relations. After the store became tremendously profitable under my management strategies, while working with the ownership of the time, the store was sold in summer of 2009.

As Shipping Manager and Assistant Store Manager my responsibilities were retail shipping with UPS, FedEx, R&L Freight, and USPS as well as printing and copying services and to offer highly professional and friendly customer service, etc. In addition to my other duties and responsibilities, I also ordered inventory and supplies and unloaded box and freight trucks as well as security and loss prevention services. While attending Appalachian State University, I was hired to provide part-time Information Technology Support services at the Belk Library computer lab. This was good work and only ended due to the school year ending. In essence, I helped students use the computer lab, offered as needed technical support, worked on computer equipment, and provided as needed security for the lab itself.

At Jefferson Landing, I managed and ran security operations, scheduled and trained the security staff, communicated as needed with Law Enforcement. I also patrolled the resort grounds, planned and provided security for daily operations and for special resort events. As the Director of Security, I participated in weekly executive staff level meetings with the owner and department heads in order to better assist the very successful company President, Owners and the excellent Management and to plan security details for daily operations and special events. My staff and I also identified all visitors, including maintenance and supply vehicles entering the gates. As the Director of Security, I maintained contact regularly with all department heads to ensure a secure and safe working environment and to provide as needed loss prevention services. As I use to say to my security staff, the gatehouse is the first and last part of Jefferson Landing that the resort members, visitors and guests see and we maintained a very friendly, well dressed, extremely classy and highly professional presence at the front gatehouse. As well as within the exquisite and beautiful Jefferson Landing Club and Resort community. As a business friendly person, I never forgot the importance of excellent customer service and superb customer and public relations. I took enormous pride in being the Director of Security and I truly enjoyed working at Jefferson Landing!

At Jefferson Landing, I started as a Security Officer rising soon to the Assistant Director of Security. Under the direction of my talented supervisor, I helped him run the Security Department and train new security staff, and we communicated as needed with law enforcement, patrolled the residential and resort grounds. As the Assistant Director of Security, I assisted the Director of Security, the Owners and Management in providing security for daily operations and special events. Under the directions of my supervisor, we identified visitors and all vehicles entering the front and side gates. My supervisor and I maintained a very friendly and highly professional presence at the front gate and well within the truly beautiful Jefferson Landing Resort and community. As a business friendly person, I never forgot the importance of excellent customer service and superb customer and public relations. I took great pride in being the Assistant Director of Security and I truly enjoyed working at Jefferson Landing!

While at Advance Auto Parts as a Sales Representative, I had tremendous daily sales numbers, more sales volume on most days than most of the store's other sales representatives. My automotive knowledge and experience working at Hurley & Sons Auto Sales has given me great experience that allowed me to thrive while working as a Sales Representative in the auto parts industry. I have many years of sales and customer service experience. In addition to my other duties and responsibilities, I unloaded box trucks as well as freight trucks carrying the store's inventory and supplies. As a business friendly sales agent, I never forget the importance of excellent customer service and superb customer relations!

Earlier in life, I had a strong desire to be a part of the United States Military. My father served Honorably in the US Navy as an E-4 Third Class Petty Officer (PO3) on board the USS Oriskany CV-34 during the time of the Korean War. But, rather than follow in my father's precise footsteps and go into the US Navy, I decided to forge my own path by serving in the US Army National Guard. I proudly attended monthly drill meetings and furthered my Army training at Fort Leonard Wood Army base in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. During my few months in service, I learned a lot about the Army and took tremendous pride in training to become an Army NG Soldier.

After leaving Jefferson Apparel, I started with Leviton Manufacturing, Inc (Southern Devices) full-time as a machine operator on 2nd shift. After excelling, I was moved to 1st shift and promoted to Material Handler and Assistant to the Compression Modeling (CM) supervisor. I learned a lot about the industry, while excelling at my position and working with a great group of machine operators in the performance of my duties to keep production rolling efficiently and smoothly. In addition to my other duties and responsibilities, I also loaded and unloaded Leviton's freight trucks in the shipping and receiving department, which carried and transported the plant's inventory, raw materials, supplies and finished products. Overall, our department was very productive and the position unfortunately ended as a result of the outsourcing of the plant's jobs.

After leaving Lowes Foods with a heavy heart, I started working on a full-time bases with Jefferson Apparel as a Material Handler and Assistant to the Supervisor. I learned a lot about the business, while excelling at my position and working with a great group of machine operators in the performance of my duties to keep production rolling efficiently and smoothly. In addition to my other duties and responsibilities, I also loaded and unloaded freight trucks, which carried and transported the plant's inventory materials and finished products. Overall, our department was very productive! I left this position to take a better one at Leviton Manufacturing, Inc.

While attending High School, I served in various positions at Lowe's Foods. Including, Store Clerk, Cashier, Stocking, Meat and Produce Markets in West Jefferson. I also served as temporary intern Frozen Foods Manager in Boone during the summer of 1991. In addition to my other duties, I also unloaded MDI's freight trucks in the Lowes Foods loading dock, which carried and transported store supplies and groceries for inventory. Looking back after nearly 30 years later, I have some good memories of my time working for Lowes Foods while going to school.
