Both groups requiring unique attention to their different operations Overseeing the News department required coordinating journalists to cover relevant campus/city events and news as well as the production of public relations related programming both live and prerecordedo This included 7 hours of live on-air coverage of the 2016 presidential election that featured interviews and discourse with political associations on campus and predictions/analysis of results as votes came in during the evening  The Sports Department demanded the scheduling and training of sports staff to do live color commentary and play-by-play coverage of campus sporting events, including the operation of the control board to broadcast them
