Serves as the GIS technical expert for all activities involving spatial data to include creation, development, and management of the Fort Hood GIS database of record ensuring all Spatial Data Standards for Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE) 4.0 data standards are met. Works with a diverse group of resource specialists, engineers, scientists, planners, SME’s, and managers to coordinate and implement GIS applications specific to their needs. Assists the IGI&S Manager in planning, coordination, and implementation of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) projects utilizing new GIS technologies and a variety of computer systems, software, and procedures to accomplish assignments in the most expeditious and economical manner. Coordinates with master planning, engineering, environmental, and natural resources offices for database administration tasks involving the establishment of procedures and standards for data storage, database access, directory structure, data backups and networking of data. Maintains the IGI&S programs web presence via Portal for ArcGIS ensuring all web applications are operational and accessible to users on the Fort Hood network and assists the IGI&S Manager on the creation and implementation of custom web applications tailored to customer specifications. Assists local IT personnel in troubleshooting the Fort Hood ArcGIS Enterprise environment ensuring all patches and configurations are applied in accordance with DISA and local Network Enterprise Center specifications.

Provide technical work required to develop, administer, maintain, and utilized a regional GIS with an emphasis on mapping and database maintenance to ensure the proper delivery of 9-1-1 calls across the West Texas region. Provide daily map updates through ArcGIS application as well as prepare, print, and utilize large-scale maps for emergency services use. Manipulate county and state map data to present geographic and demographic information on a map for special projects if necessary. Instrumental in the team transition from GIS tabular MSAG to GeoMSAG for Next Generation 9-1-1. Completed over 4,000 changes and corrections to the Enterprise Geospatial Database Management (EGDMS); preparing the company for the new EGDMS III upgrade.

Utilized Constant Hawk imagery exploitation systems and intelligence databases to include APIX viewer, Google Earth, ArcMap, and TIGR and DCGS databases. Responsible for the dissemination of timely and accurate imagery intelligence produced in a variety of data files to include: PDF, shapefiles, kmz, and jpeg formats.
